I have done it! I have made the big break from the most frustrating part of my existence these days. MS-365 is now banished. For the second time. I have tried, and once again it’s more of a hassle than it’s worth. No more auto-save to places unknown. Just creations and corrections and rewrites—all that good stuff I’m supposed to be doing. Not wasting time fighting with software that “they” say is intended to make my life easier. Now it’s just the oh shit! I didn’t save that? I hear that there will be a new Word/office upgrade program coming soon. I will deal with what I have now and then get the newer version. Yet, now my computer keeps ‘napping’ without me asking or doing anything. Shrug, maybe I just need a new boat anchor
More frustration is happening this week with the new website. I’m taking it off my plate. I’m giving up. I don’t want to do it. Luckily, he can read this and understand that I will let him manage the main site. I will just keep my WordPress page up, and my Patreon for my patrons – you are all the best, and I thank you so very much.
It feels good to get back into working on Inception (book three). I’ve made lots of notes and barfed out most of the big scenes, along with a few smaller storylines. Some parts have even been massaged a bit to make them more complete. All our old friends are back, and trouble keeps having its messy way through the storyline. Challenges engage others as Mac continues to learn more about the strange situation that he had once agreed to be part of, all because of a girl. Spec finally acquiesces to the pressure and starts telling her origin story. Events thus far in the mission have made Spec comprehend her own mortality. She owes the whole story to her team and the records for future human survival. She also owes Mac honesty regarding his own origin.
It has finally been cool and raining here in NC. So strange for this time of year. Hopefully it will stay a bit longer before screaming back up into hot temps once again. I have managed to set up my back table as a typing desk; now I can look out of the windows to watch the rain, birds, and trees. This is very helpful to my brain and soul. All in all, the decisions made in this last month will help my mental well-being, which is always needed.
Please take care of your mental health; it may be the most important thing we have. Do what you need to take care of your most fragile system.
I am working, writing, and watching the birds, and I wish you all a nice August. Have a great month.
